The American Association of Teachers of Persian
ACTFL Workshops For Persian
Dear Colleagues,

ACTFL holds different on-site and sponsored workshops throughout the year, including a 4-day OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview) workshop for world language instructors (K-16). Anybody who attends a 4-day ACTFL workshop can pursue full certification as an OPI tester for a world language such as Persian. ACTFL has also 1-day familiarity workshops.

Last summer, ACTFL certified Dr. Peyman Nojoumian as an ACTFL workshop facilitator for English and Persian. If you would like to attend an ACTFL workshop, you can specify your preference for Persian to be trained on Persian samples and to do hands-on exercises on Persian OPIs. I mentor trainees through the process until they get certified.

Your institution can also sponsor an ACTFL on-site workshop for Persian or for English and mixed languages. You might even be able to apply for funding from different foundations to pay for the ACTFL workshops and its certification costs. Here is the contact person who can answer your questions about ACTFL workshops in Persian:
